Saint Parvathi Ammal was born in the small village of Kondavil, Sri Lanka (Ceylon) and is revered in a temple erected in Her honor as the benevolent Divine Mother. She was loved for Her wisdom and for the miracles She performed for all those who came to Her; the rich and the poor She treated equally and took care of their well-being. Though She took Maha-Samadhi (passed on) in the early 1960’s, to those who believe in Her, She is Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent, for Her miracles still continue even though She has passed from the physical plane. To invoke Ammal’s help, one must say Her name three times.
